Raise a Glass/Pitcher

Project description:

Using 18 gauge copper you are to sink then raise two vessels one with a spout and a handle and the other to serve as a vessel to receive it's counterparts contents. The spout can be a part of the vessel or it can be fabricated and soldered on. The handle must be attached with metal but can be made from another material.  Depending on what your pitcher will serve, the handle may have to pull double duty as a heat sink.

Try to make a set.  Match the cup/glass to pitcher. Start with 18 gauge copper. There wshould be a fabricated component to this piece.

Step one: do research
  • Research pitchers.
  •  No dribbles
  • Form over function?

Step two: make models/finalize design decisions
  • Sketch profiles
  • Determine contents
  • make cardboard models

Step four: finalize and execute
  • Piece should have final finish on it (no wet lacquer or excessive polish!)
  • Burnish the edges
  • Upset the edge
